A brief glossary of the parts of speech considered within this pattern language, many of which can be found more fully described in Wikipedia.
A grammatical person references a participant in an event. A grammatical person has a "point of view".
A transitive verb relates a subject to one or more objects. A transitive verb indicates action (by the subject) or relationship (between the participants).
